Versatile 3-in-1 Jointer Planer Moulder
Produce tongue and groove paneling, shiplap, trim, and more with the compact three-in-one MP180 Jointer Planer Moulder! The MP180 takes the versatile functionality of the Wood-Mizer MP160 Jointer/Planer and adds a vertical side cutter head to the planer table. Similar to the MP160 Jointer/Planer, the MP180 efficiently shares one horizontal cutter between two cast iron tables to produce straight-edged boards with the top jointer table and evenly planed boards with the bottom planer table. Switching between jointing and planing is done easily by moving the board from one table to the other without needing to adjust the table or stop the cutter or extractor. When jointing boards on the top table, an adjustable board fence tilts up to 45° and locks into place for angled boards. In addition, the MP180 features one vertical side cutter that can be fitted with moulding profile knives. The vertical side cutter moulds material on one side with each pass through the bottom planer table. With the MP180, moulding material on two sides for profiles like tongue and groove can be completed in only two passes. When planing and moulding boards on the bottom table, two power feed rollers (one steel and one rubber) move the board through the horizontal cutter and vertical side cutter at a variable speed. 3-in-1 Jointing, Planing, and Moulding
One horizontal cutter is efficiently shared between two cast iron tables to produce straight-edged boards with the top jointer table and evenly planed boards with the bottom planer table. In addition, one vertical side cutter on the bottom table produces moulding or profiled boards. Switching between jointing, planing, and moulding is done easily by moving the board from one table to the other without needing to adjust the table or stop the cutters or extractor.
Large Capacity, Small Footprint
Up to 12" wide jointer capacity, 16" wide and 9-1/2" high planer capacity, or 2" high moulding capacity (up to 4" high with optional side cutter head) all in one compact machine.
Power Feed Rollers with Variable Feed
When planing and moulding boards on the bottom table, two power feed rollers (one steel and one rubber) move the board through the horizontal cutter and vertical side cutter at a 6-39 fpm variable speed for consistent quality and efficient production.
User-Friendly Control Panel
Operate both horizontal and vertical cutters together or turn on/off each cutter individually. Both cutters use their own independent motor to maximize performance.
Adjustable Safety Guard
Quickly adjust the safety guard up/down or in/out for various sized material. The safety guard protects your hands from knives when jointing on the top table.
45° Adjustable Board Fence
When jointing boards on the upper table, an adjustable board fence provides a perfect 90° angle or tilts up to 45° and locks into place for angled boards.
Adjustable Table Heights
Both top and bottom table heights are easily adjusted. Adjust the amount of material being removed when jointing on the top table by raising or lowing the in-feed with a simple lever. When planing or moulding on the bottom table, the table height is easily adjusted with a manual hand crank.
Dust Collection Port
Convenient dust collection port compatible with Wood-Mizer dust collection systems.
Four HSS Planer Knives Included
Two horizontal cutter and two vertical cutter HSS planer knives are included so you can begin producing finished material as soon as you set-up your machine. Additional Wood-Mizer planer blades and moulder knives are available for purchase.
