4-Sided Planing and Moulding
The MP280 includes 1 horizontal top cutter, 1 horizontal bottom cutter, and 2 vertical side cutters for planing and moulding on the top, bottom, and sides of material at the same time with each pass. All four cutters can be fitted with planing knives or moulding profile knives to produce flooring, planed boards, crown moulding, cabinet trim, paneling, door and window frames, furniture components, and more!
Adjustable Table Height
The cast-iron table height is easily adjusted with a manual hand crank to precisely position the material before entering the machine.
Easy to Change Planer Blades and Moulder Knives
Changing knives is simple and takes approximately 10 to 20 minutes which makes the production of small quantities of custom material more efficient and profitable. Operators occasionally stock extra cutters with common knife profiles installed to save time when needing a new profile.

Power Feed Rollers with Variable Feed
Four steel and one rubber power feed roller steadily move material through the machine to ensure a consistent profile from end to end even with uneven boards. Material is moved through the machine with a variable feed speed of 6 - 36 fpm (2-11 m/minute) to efficiently process both softwood and hardwood.
Large Capacity, Compact Footprint
Up to 16” (410 mm) wide* x 9” (230 mm) high one-sided planing/moulding capacity, 11-13/16” (300 mm) wide x 9” (230 mm) high 2-sided planing/moulding capacity, and a large 9-3/4” (260 mm) wide x 2” (50 mm) high* 4-sided planing/moulding capacity in one compact machine. Each cutter head comes with two standard HSS straight knives at properly selected lengths. Additionally, all cutter heads can be fitted with moulding knives with shapes matching customer needs. 2-sided planing/moulding is done by the horizontal top and bottom cutter heads. The 4-sided cutting is done in just one pass through the machine, which allows for saving time while increasing productivity in a compact footprint. *To achieve 1-sided maximum planing width some disassembly is required. Maximum cutting height can be extended to 4" (100 mm) with optional 4" (100 mm) tall cutting head.

Infeed and Outfeed Tables
The MP280 is equipped with 4' long infeed and outfeed tables. Convenient working height ensures material enters and exits the machine easily.
User-Friendly Control Panel
From a centralized control panel, operate the power feed and all four horizontal and vertical cutters together or turn on/off each cutter individually. The power feed and all four cutters use their own independent motor to maximize performance.
Large Viewing Window
A large viewing window allows the operator to supervise the entire cutting process from rough sawn boards to final products. Inside the machine, the top and bottom horizontal cutters and two vertical side cutters process the material at 7,200 rpm to ensure a smooth and consistent finish on one, two, three, or all four sides depending on which cutters are activated.
