The LT15 Portable Sawmill offers a professional timber-milling experience based on the world’s most popular sawmill design, now fully mobile for on-site production. Proudly built in the USA, this mill is engineered for sawyers who require a blend of versatility and industrial-grade durability, featuring a heavy-duty steel box bed frame and a wide range of reliable power options including gas, diesel, or electric motors. With a standard sawing capacity that handles logs up to 32 inches in diameter and produces 30-inch wide boards, the LT15 is capable of processing logs up to 17 feet 8 inches in length, which can be further expanded to unlimited lengths with optional bed extensions.
By bundling this machine with the GO Trailer, you gain total independence, allowing you to tow the mill to any job site and begin sawing immediately on the trailer frame. The integrated trailer package includes a durable steel frame with a single axle, wheels, fenders, and a set of six adjustable outriggers that ensure the bed remains level and stable on uneven terrain. Precision is maintained through a quick up/down sawhead controlled by a hand crank, while six adjustable side supports and two quick-set log clamps keep your timber secure. This bundle is the ideal solution for woodworkers, farmers, and small-scale professionals who need a high-capacity, mobile mill that arrives on a single pallet and can be ready for its first cut in just a few hours.
From raw steel to fabrication, forming, welding, paint, assembly and final inspection, our dedicated employees at the Wood-Mizer owned and operated factory in the heart of the Midwest USA have been manufacturing premium quality Wood-Mizer equipment at a low cost to you since 1982.
Large In-Class Sawing Capacity
Saw softwood and hardwood logs up to 32” in diameter with a 30” width of cut and a 10-½” depth of cut – more than enough capacity for most logs you'll come across.
Reliable Power with Gas, Diesel, or Electric
Versatile and reliable power options are available to fit your needs. For portable and outdoor sawing, 19HP or 25HP gas and 10HP or 17HP diesel engines with electric start are available. A 10HP electric motor is also available for sawing indoors in a garage or workshop with a single or three-phase connection.
Quick Sawhead Up/Down with Crank Handle
Quickly and accurately move the sawhead up and down to prepare for sawing with the crank handle and lift assist. Easily turn the handle clockwise or counterclockwise with 32 locking locations to adjust the blade depth 2” for each full rotation or 1/16” for each notch to prepare for the next cut. A quarter scale is also included for sawing 8/4”, 6/4”, 5/4”, and 4/4” lumber.
Precision Sawing with Thin-Kerf Sawmill Blades
Engage the sawmill blade with the convenient pull handle that engages the mechanical clutch and automatically throttles the engine at the same time. The LT15 sawmill uses 158” length sawmill blades. We recommend having at least 10 sawmill blades on hand to minimize sawing downtime when sharpening blades. With the ability to saw as precise as 1/16” with the thin-kerf sawmill blade, you get the most usable lumber out of every log.
High-Performance Sawing with Blade Guide Rollers
High-performance blade guide rollers provide extra support and stability for sawmill blades to saw accurately and consistently compared to blade guide blocks. In addition to continuously feeding the blades, the blade guide rollers apply downward pressure on the blade while sawing for better cut quality. Sawmill blades run on belted 19" diameter cast iron band wheels for additional stability in the cut.
Clean Blades with Gravity-Fed Blade Lubrication
Keep the sawmill blade cool and free of pitch, sap, and sawdust while sawing with the gravity-fed blade lubrication that applies directly to the blade. A water tank conveniently located close to the operator is easy to refill and features an on/off valve for consistently distributing lubrication to the blade.
Secure Logs with 2 Quick-Set Log Clamps
Constructed of strong tube steel, two quick-set log clamps tightly fasten logs for sawing and are adjustable up/down and in/out as material is cut. The log clamp uses an acme thread screw for better durability and a clamp point block for an extra grip on a round log or squared cant. Each log clamp is able to move between other cross sections and additional log clamps are available as needed.
Optional GO Trailer
Go portable with the GO Trailer to an LT15 or LT15START model sawmill! Includes durable steel frame, single axle with suspension, two wheels with removable fenders, set of six adjustable outriggers, two transport clamps, and 2" hitch for easy hook-up and GO to your next sawing site.
Optional Power Feed
Power up your LT15 portable sawmill with an efficient power feed system. This easy-to-use, bolt-on, electronic control replaces the manual crank feed and allows you to move the saw head forward and reverse with 12 volt power for more production with less effort. In addition, a power feed improves the quality of the cut by providing a consistent, even feed speed that yields the best surface on lumber. Forward saw head speed is variable up to 90 feet per minute with the simple turn of a dial and the reverse saw head control is one speed.
Easy Shipping and Assembly
The LT15 portable sawmill ships on a single pallet and requires minimal assembly time so you can start sawing within a few hours of receiving your sawmill.
In this episode of the Wood Life Podcast, host Dustin Moore sits down with Jennifer Auger and Larry Swan to explore how innovation, collaboration, and strategic funding are transforming the urban wood and forestry industries. Karl Neubauer built Hollerhorn Distilling in Naples, NY using salvaged timber he milled on his Wood-Mizer sawmill—the same tool that's been central to his 20-year career as a builder, sculptor, and distiller. When fire destroyed the building in 2022, the Finger Lakes community rallied to help him rebuild, proving that his distillery had become more than a business—it was a community hub.
Dovetailed Blessings: Turning a Storm’s Destruction into a Handcrafted Home
Charles Singleton, a resident of Butler, Georgia, transformed trees downed by an EF1 tornado into a 1,280-square-foot dovetail cabin. Over the course of three years, Charles used his Wood-Mizer sawmill to process various woods, culminating in a stunning finished product you have to see.
