How To Fix a Floating Choke on a 19/25HP Kohler Engine

Have you noticed your 19HP or 25 HP Kohler engine choke developing a tendency to “float out” when engaged or disengaged? Here are Wood-Mizer’s step-by-step instructions on how to resolve this issue.

How To Fix a Floating Choke on a 19/25HP Kohler Engine:

Floating Choke

1. First, you will want to locate the “linkage adjustment screw” at the top of the engine.

2. Next, if you notice that your choke cable is moving out, you will need to turn the screw counterclockwise to loosen the screw.

3. Once you have made your adjustment, check to see if the engine choke is still floating. If it is, loosen the screw a bit more.
