In association with the Indiana Department of Natural Resources (DNR), the Indiana Hardwood Lumberman’s Association (IHLA), and the Putnam County Visitor Bureau, Wood-Mizer is presenting the first annual Hoosier Hardwood Festival and Expo from August 23rd – August 25th in Cloverdale, Indiana.
According to the Indiana State Department of Agriculture, “Indiana’s hardwood industry has an annual economic impact of over $10 billion and supports 70,000 jobs.” With additional strategy and focus from agencies and organizations to continue growing one of the Indiana’s largest industries, the Hoosier Hardwood Festival is aimed to “Celebrate Indiana Hardwoods".
“Indiana has one of the largest hardwood industries in the country,” said John Smith, Wood-Mizer CEO. “As an Indiana-based manufacturer of forestry equipment, Wood-Mizer is excited to be a part of this event that promotes Indiana hardwoods in addition to the overall forest industry.”
The inaugural 3-day forestry event hosted at C Bar C Expo Center will “Celebrate Indiana Hardwoods” with 100+ exhibitors, woodworking demonstrations and vendors, a professional lumberjack competition, educational seminars organized by the DNR and IHLA, and more. The event will also feature entertainment for the entire family with live music from local bands, food booths, beer gardens, and amateur axe throwing/log throwing competitions.
